A12, the Route 66 of England
The A12 is considered to be the Route 66 of England. It starts from Peterborough to the Humber estuary.
A great alternative going north if you don't mind spending a bit more time. But you get to see the great cathedrals of Lincoln and Peterborough, and an amazing crossign over the Humber Bridge.
