Description by the author

A scenic route and hilly route from Hayes, Kent via the short, steep Well Hill to Lullingstone (views of the lavender fields in summer), over the river Darenth at Eyenesford, then along the quiet Knatts Valley and back up the hill at Row Dow be fore dropping back down to Shoreham and the river again. We take a quiet lane which passes under the M25 and A21. We return with a slight detour via Downe village to avoid the busy A21 and A232 before a 2 mile coast down from Keston and back to Hayes.
