En 1676, Christophe De le Tenre, párroco de la parroquia de San Martín, hizo construir esta capilla para aliviar un poco la obligación dominical de los fieles que vivían lejos. A partir de la Revolución Francesa, la capilla fue cerrada. En 1922 se abrió al público y se convirtió en monumento protegido en 1947.
