La diócesis de Acireale es una sede de la Iglesia católica sufragánea de la arquidiócesis de Catania, perteneciente a la región eclesiástica Sicilia. En el 2012 contaba con unos 227.900 bautizados sobre una población de 231.300 habitantes. El actual obispo es Antonino Raspanti.[1]
La diócesis comprende 18 municipios en la parte septentrional de la Ciudad metropolitana de Catania: Aci Bonaccorsi, Aci Castillo, Aci Cadena, Acireale, Aci Sant'Antonio, Calatabiano, Castiglione di Sicilia, Fiumefreddo di Sicilia, Giarre, Linguaglossa, Mascali, Milo, Piedimonte Etneo, Randazzo, Riposto, Sant'Alfio, Valverde y parte del municipio de Santa Venerina.
