Lenk est une commune suisse du canton de Berne, située dans l'arrondissement administratif du Haut-Simmental-Gessenay, dans la vallée du Simmental dans l'Oberland Bernois.
Au Néolithique, les tout premiers habitants de la Lenk vivaient dans la caverne du Tierberg, sur les hauteurs de la vallée du Simmental. Trois strates de charbon de bois et de cendres à des profondeurs différentes indiquent que la caverne fut utilisée à trois époques distinctes, espacées dans le temps.
Des découvertes archéologiques, restituées en 2003 d’un champ de glace sur le Schnidejoch dans le massif du Wildhorn à la Lenk, se sont avérées être beaucoup plus anciennes que ce que l’on croyait.
