Aquilée, en italien Aquileia, en frioulan Aquilee, est une commune d'environ 4 000 habitants de la province d'Udine, dans la région autonome du Frioul-Vénétie Julienne en Italie.
Colonie romaine fondée en 181 av. J.-C., Aquilée était la capitale de la Regio X Venetia et Histria, une des villes les plus importantes de l'Empire romain, et un grand foyer du christianisme : elle a été entre le IVe siècle et le XVe siècle, le siège du patriarcat d'Aquilée. Avec Ravenne et Brescia, c'est le site archéologique le plus important de l'Italie du Nord, et avec Cividale del Friuli et Udine,l'une des capitales historiques du Frioul, dont la bannière dérive de ses armoiries.
