Il Foro di Cesare fu il primo dei Fori Imperiali di Roma a essere realizzato, con lo scopo di ampliare gli spazi del centro politico, amministrativo e religioso della città della tradizionale piazza pubblica del Foro Romano e contemporaneamente di celebrare il personaggio che ne aveva voluto la costruzione, Giulio Cesare.
