Deze monumentale kerk in rode bakstenen en blauwe steen is, dankzij haar hogere ligging, van ver in de omgeving te zien. Ze dateert uit 1865 en werd, zoals heel wat kerken in die tijd, deels opgetrokken in een romaanse bouwstijl en deels in een gotische bouwstijl.
Het gebouw ziet er indrukwekkend uit. De toren, inclusief spits, is maar liefst 72 meter hoog. In 2010 onderging het gebouw een restauratie. In het interieur vallen vooral de kruisweg, het orgel, het houten icoon van Onze-Lieve-Vrouw en de glasramen op.
