Organyà és una vila i municipi de la comarca de l'Alt Urgell. El terme municipal d'Organyà és a la riba del mateix nom, entre el congost de Tresponts, al nord, i el pont d'Espia, al sud. A l'est, el terme limita amb el riu Segre i a l'oest amb la muntanya de Santa Fe , que domina la vila. Dins del terme d'Organyà, a migdia, hi ha l'enclavament de Fontanet, que pertany al municipi de Cabó. Reguen el terme el riu Segre, el riu de Cabó, poc abans de la seva confluència amb aquest, i el riuet de Fontanet. La vila s'abasta de l'aigua de la font Bordonera.
