Pesillà de la Ribera és un poble, cap de la comuna del mateix nom, de 3.374 habitants, de la comarca del Rosselló, a la Catalunya del Nord. Forma part del territori del Riberal de la Tet.Actualment, juntament amb els pobles de Bao, Baixàs, Calce, Paretstortes, Sant Esteve del Monestir i Vilanova de la Ribera forma part del cantó número 14, del Riberal , amb capitalitat a Sant Esteve del Monestir. Al pas del segle xviii al xix, Pesillà era famós per la llegenda de les Santes Hòsties. Entre les altres curiositats de l'indret convé destacar l'altar de marbre de l'església que s'atribueix a l'època romana.
