Dieses Villenviertel im anglo-normandischen Stil ist ein großes Dünenareal, das 1889 an Privatpersonen in Erbpacht gegeben wurde, um hier ein romantisches Belle-Epoque-Viertel entsehen zu lassen. Es war der deutsche Urbanist Joseph Stübben, der das Aussehen von De Haan maßgeblich bestimmte. Die denkmalgeschützte Straßenbahnhaltestelle und das Villenviertel nördlich der Straßenbahnlinie sind schöne Zeugnisse davon, mit ihren anglo-normandischen Fachwerkelementen, die typisch sind für die Belle-Epoque-Architektur an unserer Küste. Ein Spaziergang durch dieses Viertel ist der absolute Geheimtipp und führt Sie im Handumdrehen zurück in das Jahr 1900.
