La ferrovia del Bernina è una linea ferroviaria di montagna, a scartamento metrico, che congiunge la città di Tirano, in Italia, con la svizzera Sankt Moritz.
Costruita fra il 1906 e il 1910, non solo a scopo turistico, ma per trasportare anche passeggeri che si muovono per lavoro od altre necessità e pure merci, la linea raggiunge con ardite opere di ingegneria ferroviaria un'altitudine massima di 2.253 m, ed è pertanto la più alta ferrovia ad aderenza naturale delle Alpi, oltre che una delle più ripide al mondo . Inizialmente aperta solo nei mesi estivi, dall'inverno 1913-1914 la linea è aperta tutto l'anno. La costruzione fu particolarmente impegnativa, anche per le maestranze, confluite in prevalenza da diverse regioni italiane, con un elevato numero di incidenti sul lavoro.
