L'abbazia territoriale di Monte Oliveto Maggiore è una sede della Chiesa cattolica in Italia immediatamente soggetta alla Santa Sede, appartenente alla regione ecclesiastica Toscana. Nel 2019 contava 550 battezzati su 550 abitanti. È retta dall'abate ordinario Diego Gualtiero Rosa, O.S.B.Oliv., che è anche ex officio abate generale della Congregazione benedettina olivetana.
