Het kasteel Holzheim, ook wel Painherrnhof genoemd, ligt in de wijk Holzheim van de gemeente Leonding in het district Linz-Land.
Holzheim werd voor het eerst in 1075 schriftelijk vermeld. De heren van Holzheim waren bezitters tot 1376, daarna volgden tot 1481 de Aczpeckh; vervolgens kwam het kasteel in handen van de heerschappij van Steyregg. De naam Painherrnhof is afkomstig van de vrijplaats van de broers Georg en Wolf Painherr. Zij werden voor hun geleverde diensten door keizer Ferdinand III in 1648 in deadelstand verheven. De laatste van de Painherrn was in 1684 de zoon van Wolf Painherr. In 1726 brandde het oude kasteel af en werd er een nieuw barok kasteel gebouwd.
