Dit beschermde barokke monument, in mergelsteen van de streek, is een bekoorlijke aanvulling van de landschappelijke troeven en de grotten van deze Jekergemeente.
In 1647 werd de kapel opgetrokken door de timmermanszoon Herman Jekermans uit Kanne. Op 34-jarige leeftijd trok hij naar Jeruzalem. Hij beloofde bij zijn terugkeer en kopie te bouwen van het Heilig Graf.
Het gebouw werd in de oorlog beschadigd maar werd in 1960 hersteld. In 1995 is een nieuwe restauratie beëindigd.
Vooral de gevel van de kapel is sterk versierd met onder meer Toscaanse pilasters en beeldhouwwerk.
De zitbank, de bomen eromheen en het uitzicht op de heuvels, maken hiervan een idyllische plek om tot rust te komen.
