Die Universität Koblenz-Landau ist eine Universität mit acht Fachbereichen an zwei Campus in Koblenz und Landau sowie dem Sitz des Präsidialamtes in Mainz.
Ihre Vorgängereinrichtung war von 1969 bis 1990 die „Erziehungswissenschaftliche Hochschule Rheinland-Pfalz“. Die Universität Koblenz-Landau ist mit über 17.000 Studierenden die zweitgrößte Universität in Rheinland-Pfalz. Etwa 61 % der Studierenden der Universität studieren Lehramtsstudiengänge. 2018 wurde eine Auftrennung der Universität beschlossen. Bis 2023 soll der Standort Landau mit der Technischen Universität Kaiserslautern in die Rheinland-Pfälzische Technische Universität Kaiserslautern-Landau fusionieren und der Standort Koblenz als eigenständige Universität Koblenz fortgeführt werden.
