Schore a été habité depuis l'époque romaine, mais fut ensuite recouvert par la mer. Vers 1100 les terres émergèrent et l'on construisit alors l'église Onze-Lieve-Vrouw. Le village fut à nouveau détruit pendant la première guerre mondiale. Il fut reconstruit selon un projet de l'architecte Theo Raison (Bruges), suivant les dispositions d'avant-guerre. L'église actuelle date de 1924-25. Elle fut érigée en néo-gothique, suivant la mode de cette époque.
C'est une église-halle à trois nefs d'une composition ludique, et une tour comprenant une horloge dans la toiture. Le vitrail reproduit le chemin de croix (1925). L'église possède quelques peintures remarquables d'avant la reconstruction : Notre-Dame du Rosaire et les quinze Mystères, le couronnement de Marie. L'autel est décoré d'une Sainte Famille avec sainte Anne et saint Joachim.
