El memorial de guerra d'Aywaille es troba al Parc Docteur Louis Thiry . Commemora les víctimes militars i civils de la Primera i Segona Guerra Mundial.
Dones lleugerament doblegades amb una branca d'olivera es troben en una columna alta. Una branca d'olivera és un símbol de pau a la cultura europea. La branca d'olivera representa la pau, la reconciliació i l'esperança. El simbolisme és molt antic, l'olivera creix lentament i necessita descans i temps per florir. Allà on creixen moltes oliveres sembla que hi ha pau durant molt de temps . Probablement per això els grecs utilitzaven la branca d'olivera com a símbol de pau.
El monument va ser inaugurat l'11 d'octubre de 1931.
