El monumento a los caídos en la guerra de Aywaille se encuentra en el Parc Docteur Louis Thiry . Conmemora a las víctimas militares y civiles de la Primera y Segunda Guerra Mundial.
Mujeres ligeramente encorvadas con una rama de olivo se encuentran en una columna alta. Una rama de olivo es un símbolo de paz en la cultura europea. La rama de olivo representa la paz, la reconciliación y la esperanza. El simbolismo es muy antiguo, el olivo crece lentamente y necesita descanso y tiempo para florecer. Donde crecen muchos olivos, aparentemente reina la paz durante mucho tiempo . Probablemente por eso los griegos utilizaban la rama de olivo como símbolo de paz.
El monumento fue inaugurado el 11 de octubre de 1931.
