Navarcles és un poble cap del municipi del mateix nom, de la comarca del Bages. És situat a l'extrem oriental del Pla de Bages a 11 km de la capital de la comarca, Manresa.
L'edifici romànic més emblemàtic del Bages, el monestir de Sant Benet de Bages, està situat a 1 km del centre de la població, ja en el terme municipal de Sant Fruitós de Bages.
