Està situada en l'extrem sud-est de la província de València, en els vessants septentrionals de la serra de la Safor, que fa de límit amb la comarca de la Marina Alta i la província d'Alacant. El relleu està format per una vall espaiosa per on discorre el riu Serpis, en direcció nord-est, cap a al mar Mediterrani.
