Fontanars dels Alforins és un municipi del País Valencià situat a l'extrem més occidental de la comarca de la Vall d'Albaida. Compta amb nombrosos camps de cultiu i boscos de pins. El seu terme limita amb La Font de la Figuera i Villena, a l'oest, Moixent, al nord, Ontinyent, a l'est, i Banyeres de Mariola, Beneixama, i Camp de Mirra al sud.
