Alagón del Río és un municipi de la província de Càceres, a Extremadura, a Espanya.
Va ser creat com a poblat de colonització els anys 1950 en el terme municipal de Galisteo, del qual es va independitzar el novembre del 2009.
Alagón del Río està connectat a Coria, Plasència, Navalmoral de la Mata i Galisteo per l'EX-108, al costat del qual s'està construint l'autovia EX-A1. Una carretera de regadius porta a Montehermoso i Carcaboso.
