La Tate Modern és un museu d'art contemporani a la ciutat de Londres que forma part de la Tate juntament amb el Tate Britain, Tate Liverpool i Tate Saint Ives, aquests dos últims fora de la ciutat. És un dels museus d'art més visitats del món.
És a l'antiga central elèctrica de Bankside que va ser originalment dissenyada per Sir Giles Gilbert Scott, i construïda en dues fases entre 1947 i 1963. La central elèctrica va ser tancada el 1981 i l'edifici va ser reconvertit pels arquitectes suïssos Jacques Herzog i Pierre de Meuron.
