Wallingford és un municipi del Regne Unit, situat al sud del comtat d'Oxfordshire . Va pertànyer antigament al comtat Berkshire. El riu Tàmesi i el castell reial que hi va haver van configurar la seva història. Del seu priorat, depenent del de sant Albà, van sorgir erudits com el matemàtic Richard de Wallingford o el cronista John de Wallingford.
