Lyme Regis és una localitat costanera britànica de l'oest de Dorset , situada 40 km a l'oest de Dorchester i a 40 km a l'est d'Exeter. Es troba sobre Lyme Bay, a la desembocadura del Lim al Canal de la Mànega, a la frontera amb Devon. El 2012 tenia 3637 habitants.
El primer esment conegut de Lyme es troba en el Domesday Book de 1086. La localitat va evolucionar durant el segle xiii fins a ser un dels principals ports britànics, fins al punt que Eduard I, emeté una Carta Règia el 1284 que va agregar «Regis» al nom de la ciutat.
