Imola és una ciutat d'Itàlia a la Ciutat metropolitana de Bolonya, regió d'Emília-Romanya amb prop de 70.000 habitants.
Forum Cornelii fou el nom romà d'Imola. Era una ciutat de la Gàl·lia Cispadana a la via Emília, a uns 40 km de Bononia i 15 de Faventia, a l'oest del riu Vatrenus . El seu nom se suposadament derivat de Corneli Sul·la però algunes proves impliquen una fundació anterior . A la guerra civil que va seguir a la mort de Cèsar, fou ocupada per Octavi que hi va establir els seus quarters d'hivern. Hi va residir Marc Valeri Marcial.
