La "Tonnara di Scopello" és un complex històric de pesca de tonyina . Una "tonnara" és una pesquera tradicional de tonyina, una part important de la història marítima siciliana.
La Tonnara di Scopello es remunta al segle XIII i originalment servia com a lloc on es capturava, processava i conservava la tonyina. El complex gaudeix d'una ubicació preciosa amb vistes a les aigües blaves del mar Tirrè.
Tot i que la pesca de tonyina a la Tonnara di Scopello ja no està activa, el complex ha conservat el seu encant històric i atrau molts visitants. Avui la Tonnara di Scopello s'utilitza com a atracció turística i la platja és popular.
