Aquest bust de Nunzio Nasi a Erice, que va morir a Erice el 1935, es troba al parc de la ciutat de Balio.
Va exercir diverses vegades com a ministre del Regne d'Itàlia (ministre de Correus i ministre d'Educació Pública). Va ser membre de la Lògia Maçònica.
Com a opositor de Giovanni Giolitti, va ser acusat el 1904 de malversació en l'exercici de la seva funció ministerial. Tanmateix, la determinació final de la responsabilitat penal es va limitar a l' apropiació il·lícita de material de paper i similars. La justícia va rebre permís de la Cambra per arrestar Nasi. Va fugir a França i Londres . També va ser expulsat de totes les lògies maçòniques.
El 1912 va ser acceptat de nou a la Universitat de Roma i va tornar al Parlament el 1913 .
