Este busto del Nunzio Nasi de Erice, fallecido en Erice en 1935, se encuentra en el parque de la ciudad de Balio.
Se desempeñó varias veces como Ministro del Reino de Italia (Ministro de Correos y Ministro de Educación Pública). Era miembro de la Logia Masónica.
Como opositor de Giovanni Giolitti, fue acusado en 1904 de malversación de fondos en el ejercicio de su función ministerial. Sin embargo, la determinación final de responsabilidad penal se limitó a la apropiación indebida de material de oficina y similares. La justicia recibió permiso de la Cámara para arrestar a Nasi. Huyó a Francia y Londres . También fue expulsado de todas las logias masónicas.
En 1912 fue aceptado nuevamente en la Universidad de Roma y regresó al Parlamento en 1913 .
