El jardí, també anomenat Villa Garibaldi, va ser creat a partir de 1863 , al mig de la Piazza Marina.
El jardí té un perímetre quadrangular, els accessos del qual corresponen a les vies principals, i està tancat per una tanca de ferro colat .
De les moltes plantes exòtiques que hi ha a l'interior, el ficus Magnoloides és sens dubte la principal atracció .
Pertany a l'espècie Ficus macrophylla, igual que un exemplar del jardí botànic de Palerm, del qual és el símbol.
Hi ha escultures a la vil·la, incloses les de Giuseppe Garibaldi, Rosolino Pilo, Giovanni Corrao, Raffaele De Benedetto, Luigi Tukory i Nicola Bălcescu.
També hi ha un estany amb una font , al voltant del qual neden peixos i tortugues.
Si hi aneu un diumenge al matí , us trobareu amb el mercat setmanal de puces que té lloc a la Piazza Marina i els seus voltants.
