Lisboa , tradicionalment i històricament anomenada Lisbona en llengua catalana, és la capital i la ciutat més gran de l'estat de Portugal. Se situa a l'estuari del riu Tajo . A més de la capital del país, és la capital del districte de Lisboa, de la regió de Lisboa, de l'Àrea Metropolitana de Lisboa; i és, també, el centre principal de la subregió estadística de la Gran Lisboa. La ciutat té una població de 547.631 habitants; i l'àrea metropolitana, 3 milions . Lisboa és la ciutat més rica de Portugal, amb un PIB per capita superior a la mitjana europea.
