Pujant les escales del Santuari de la Mare de Déu dels Remeis, s'accedeix a un gran pati amb divuit estàtues que representen reis i patriarques de Judea i un obelisc de 15 metres d'alçada.
Les estàtues van ser dissenyades per António de Sousa (1813-1821). L'escultor va intentar representar els 18 cognoms de la Casa de David , esmentats a l'Evangeli de Sant Lluc.
També hi ha dos excel·lents balcons amb vista al Parc dels Remeis.
