Llegenda del riu Lethes - El riu Lima va ser anomenat antigament riu Lethes (o riu de l'oblit).

Segons els antics, el riu Lethes embruixava les persones i els feia perdre la memòria . Quan un exèrcit de romans en camí a les seves conquestes va topar amb la bellesa del lloc i del riu, es van terroritzar perquè creien que era el riu Lethes. Fins i tot quan el comandant Decio Junio Bruto va insistir que creuessin el riu, els legionaris van romandre a la riba. Per demostrar que no era el Riu de l'Oblit, el comandant va decidir creuar primer . Quan va arribar a l'altra riba, es va girar cap als soldats i els va dir que encara ho recordava tot. Els va cridar pels seus noms i els va animar a creuar el riu Lima.

Al marge esquerre del Lima hi ha representats els soldats romans ia l'altra banda Decio Junio Bruto.

El quadre de rajoles situat en una de les cantonades del Mercat Municipal també fa referència a aquesta llegenda.
