El Monument Commemoratiu dels 500 Anys de la Misericòrdia de Braga , inaugurat el 21 de desembre de 2013 , va ser ofert el 2012 pels òrgans de govern com un homenatge a tots aquells que han contribuït a fer de la Misericòrdia el que és avui.
El monument va ser dissenyat per l'escultor Hélder de Carvalho i consisteix en un panell rectangular de bronze , col·locat verticalment, amb alts relleus que representen diverses mans esculpides , que simbolitzen la petició d'ajuda i la mà amiga, que és la missió de cada Misericórdia.
El panell està emmarcat en un marc de bronze amb la inscripció "DA DOMINE VIRTUTEM MANIBUS MEIS" a la part inferior i sota "SANTA CASA DÓNA MISERICÒRDIA DE BRAGA 1513 - 2013 500 ANS AO SERVIÇO DA SOLIDARIETAT", de seguida del Calces. Al costat una altra inscripció: "ESCULTOR HÈLDER DE CARVALHO 2013 FUNDIÇÃO COSME & FILHOS, LDA CANELA. VN GAIA. Descansa sobre un pedestal de granit amb una placa commemorativa en honor als òrgans de govern.
