El llac del Cràter és el llac més profund dels Estats Units, amb 655 metres de fondària, el segon de Nord-amèrica i el novè del món. Si es té en compte només aquells llacs que estan totalment per sobre del nivell del mar, seria el més profund de fondària mitjana.
El llac del Cràter està situat al Klamath County , essent Medford la població més propera. Es va formar per l'esfondrament del volcà Mount Mazama, d'aquí que ocupi la seva caldera, formada bàsicament per riodacita. És cèlebre pel blau intens de les seves aigües i pel parc natural que l'envolta: el Parc Nacional del Llac del Cràter.
