Den monumentale Vor Frue Kirke blev bygget i midten af det 13. århundrede. Koret, som er den ældste del, er uden tvivl det mest bemærkelsesværdige og bærer stadig romanske spor.
Et restaureringsprojekt af arkitekt Chrétien Veraart fra 1902 viser os, hvordan kirken sandsynligvis så ud: massiv sten vesttårn med spids af træ, rosetvinduer i sideskibene, en nord- og sydportal og indvendigt træbuehvelv i stedet for de i det 18. århundrede anlagte krydshvælv i midterskibet.
I det 13. århundrede var landsbyen et hyppigt besøgt Maria-valfartsted, hvilket straks forklarer rigdommen af arkitektur og udsmykning af bygningen.
