Det provinsielle rekreative område De Schorre er et eksempel på den vellykkede rekonstruktion af en 75 ha stor lergrav til et område med aktive rekreationsmuligheder. Vandport, klatrevæg, sportspladser, legeplads og vandrestier med smukke udsigtspunkter er nogle af fortræffene. En tredjedel af området er forblevet som naturområde og en elsket samlingsplads for vandnymfer, guldsmede, frøer og vandfugle.
