Slotet Olsene blev bygget i 1854 og ligger i Olsene langs vejen, der forbinder Gent med Kortrijk, N43.<br.I starten stod der på samme sted Hof Ter Wallen, som går tilbage til slutningen af det 11. århundrede. I 1502 blev det beboet af Pieter Lanchals II, søn af Pieter Lanchals I. Han var gift med Jacoba Quévin, et medlem af en familie, der omkring 1456 bosatte sig på slottet. Lanchals kaldte sig fra da af herre af Olsene, en titel han arvede fra sin kone og hendes familie. Fra da af var der også en svane i kommunevåbnet, og der kom svaner i voldgraven omkring slottet, ligesom i Brugge.
