Emelgem er en landsby i den belgiske provins West-Vlaanderen og en delkommune af byen Izegem. Emelgem var en selvstændig kommune indtil slutningen af 1964. På det tidspunkt havde Emelgem et areal på 5,44 km² og havde 5049 indbyggere.
Allerede i oldtiden var Emelgem beboet. Beviser herfor er adskillige forhistoriske fund, såsom bearbejdede flintsten fra neolitiske tid. Desuden er der også fundet romerske og merovingerfunde.
