Siden 1974 har Vinne været et provinsdomæne med et areal på cirka 130 ha. I 2004 blev der udført et naturgenopretningprojekt for at genoprette det oprindelige naturbillede af Vinne: en naturlig indlands sø omgivet af græsmarker og skove. Samtidig blev vandringsinfrastrukturen grundigt tilpasset. Nye vandrestier, brostensstier, lyde, fugletårne, udkigstårne m.m. gør en vandretur endnu mere spændende og behagelig.
