Fuglereservatet er over 2 hektar stort. Det er populært som yngleområde for blandt andet Storken, Brun Kørende og Bjergand. I grupper kan naturreservatet også besøges via en guidet tur med en vejleder. Dette skal dog reserveres på forhånd.
