Navnet Borlo er germansk i oprindelse og indikerer, at der engang måtte have været en bøgeskov her. Sankt Peters Kirke (1835) erstattede en træ nødkerk, der holdt i næsten to hundrede år. Når kirken er åben, så tag et kig på indskærmningen i sideskibene. Tæt ved Borlo Kirke ligger Pachthof med en hyggelig terrasse i den indre gård.
