Spontin er en del af den Belgiske kommune Yvoir, beliggende i Vallonsk Region i provinsen Namur.
Da Spontin ligger i dalen, på et af de få steder hvor det tidligere var muligt at krydse Bocq ved en vadested, må det uden tvivl have sit navn fra diminutivet af bro, pontins "de små broer".
