Fra 1988 til 1993 fik Schaffen en berømt skoleleder for en af sine skoler. I det mindste, berømt ville han helt sikkert blive senere. Det var Michel Wuyts. Wuyts er især kendt som cykelkommentator hos VRT. Han dækker blandt andet Tour de France, verdensmesterskabet og de fleste klassikere, som regel sammen med José De Cauwer, nogle gange med Karl Vannieuwkerke. I cyklecross giver han normalt kommentar sammen med den tidligere verdensmester Paul Herygers.
