Det er først siden det XIX. århundrede, at Tourinnes, engang kaldt den Teutoniske eller den Flamske, har fået tilnavnet Grosse takket være det imponerende firkantede tårn på sin kirke. Denne kirke, majestætisk beliggende på sin bakke, overvåger hele dalen. Bygget af sandsten, har kirken således på vest siden en imponerende flugtstee. Denne stammer fra første halvdel af det XIII. århundrede og er bygget af Gobertange-sten. Tykkelsen af væggene varierer fra 1,6 m til 1,8 m.
