En park behøver ikke at have spektakulære attraktioner for at være attraktivt. Spørg bare naboerne til Te Boelaerpark. De finder massivt vej til denne dejlige kvarterpark. Også i middelalderen var dette i øvrigt et sted for afslapning. Det var dengang dog forbeholdt adel og købmænd, der havde deres landsted her.
I dag er sport, leg og afslapning de primære beskæftigelser her. Den gamle skovbund er en fremragende undergrund for plantearter som skovanemone, salomonsseg, skovtulipan og småbladet efeu.
