I denne skov vil du regelmæssigt se planter med tekst og forklaring om planterne. Denne skov blev faktisk plantet i slutningen af det nittenende århundrede, og ud over indfødte arter blev der brugt mange prydplanter. En af disse prydbuske er den europæiske pimpernød. Frøene er runde bolde, der først er grønne og derefter bliver brune. Du behøver derfor ikke meget fantasi for at forstå, hvorfor denne busk i Flandern kaldes paternosterbollekesboom . Disse frø blev brugt som perler og trådt til paternoster.
