Hvor fodboldklubben FC Gerda engang havde sit hjemmebane, har Welzijnshuis siden 2015 været placeret, hvor de fleste velfærdstjenester i byen og det tidligere OCMW er samlet. Det er en åben, moderne bygge med energibesparende funktioner, med en lys central gård som en af de iøjnefaldende træk. Omkring græsset fra tidligere, som er blevet omdannet til en nabolags- og legepark, findes også plejecentret De Gerda og det lokale servicecenter Den Aftrap. Byggeriet af nogle nødboliger, boliger til voksne med handicap og social boligbyggeri er også startet. Iøjnefaldende på dette sted er statuen Ageless LOVE af prinsesse Delphine (til højre for dig). Fra denne park går du ind i Kongostraat, drej til venstre og derefter til højre, via et lille stykke Hovenierstraat, igen til højre ind i Mgr. Stillemanstraat.
