Aartselaar er en by og kommune i den belgiske provins Antwerpen. Kommunen har lidt over 14.000 indbyggere, der kaldes Aartselarenaren. Aartselaar tilhører valgkredsen Kontich og den retslige kreds Boom. Den første vision stammer fra det gamle navn Arcelar. Arce skulle henvise til archas, lar ville komme fra laar og betyde en lysning i skoven. Navnet kan derfor også sammenfattes som: "En lysning i skoven nær grænsen".
